Grazia Azzali

 

Grazia Azzali was born in Padua in 1961. In 1980 she graduated in Advertising Graphics and Photography at the “M. Fanoli” State Institute of Art in Cittadella, where she now teaches. Between 1981 and 1985 he attended the University of Padua (he studied psychology) and, at the same time, the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice under the guidance of master Emilio Vedova. During this period she took part in some exhibitions in the environment of Bevilacqua la Masa (Venice).

 

Painter and photographer, participates in 1986 at the Biennale of Young Artists of the Three Venetias, Ex slaughterhouse of Padua. Between 1989 and 1998 she participated in the activities of the group of artists of Italian and international “visual poetry”, with whom she took part in the exhibition event, entitled “Poetry Total 1897-1997”, at Palazzo della Ragione in Mantua and Palazzo Forti in Verona curated by Enrico Mascelloni and Isaia Mabellini, aka Sarenco. During her collaboration with the latter, she took part in the making of the film “Safari”, as a stage photographer.

 

From 1987 to 1991 she moved to Rovereto (TN) where she worked as a teacher at the State Art Institute “Fortunato Depero”. In these years he exhibited at the Palazzo della Ragione and at the Provincial Museum of Trento. Since 2005 he has been studying Russian iconography with master Roberto Zaniolo. His photos have been selected by several publishing houses, including “Costa & Nolan” (photo cover of “La pelle della cultura, un’indagine sulla nuova realtà elettronica” by Derrick de Kerckhove, Genoa, 1996). She is constantly present in numerous solo and group exhibitions, and there are numerous trips and photo reportages around the world.
